@Sacmunraga

You will most definitely be drinking out of a firehose if you start reading Vol III book without having some background in the Apple ecosystem as well as UNIX and POSIX system, kernel fundamentals, standards, and more. The author makes heavy references to all these areas as well as code fragments in assembly, objective-c, etc. In my opinion, if you're starting from basic understanding of programming fundamentals or other computing areas, this might be a little too much to grasp. You will probably better off starting with Vol I, II when they come out and then Vol III.

This book is much more than jailbreaking. It comes many security aspects that Apple has been introducing over the years.

Prerequisites:
- Knowledge in programming languages including assembly, objective C, C/C++
- Comfortable use of Apple devices
- Operating system fundamentals including memory management, kernel<->user space interactions, and more.
- Apple developer frameworks (macOS, *OS)
- Knowledge of system daemons
- Inter-Process Communication fundamentals
- ... and many more
