Clearing up the confusion

Hello!

I'm really eager to get my hands on the new book, as I've been waiting for it for a while.

However, I'm a bit confused at what the "Volumes" are and what they will contain exactly.
I cannot find one single page which explains nicely and clearly what the book will be like, what it will contain, where it will be sold etc.

It seems the information is currently diluted over multiple pages, some of them not up-to-date (for example showing a release date in March 2016) which makes it a bit complicated!
Can I suggest that there is one page, and only one, which contains everything we need to know about the book?
It would be nice if said page would be linked from the main site as well :-)

Thanks a lot!

Youre welcome. The answer you seek is right here in this forum, and also linked from (http://NewOSXBook.com/2ndUpdate.html) -

Apologies for the confusion.. And, to reiterate:

- End of month for Vol. III, final (though just-so-you-know AAPL keeps changing stuff in between 10b-s)
- End of year for Vol. I, Vol. II shortly after

Ah right okay. I was confused by the fact that Volume 3 was going out and couldn't find out where 1 and 2 where, but that's because they haven't been released either!

Reading the ToC makes sense as to why it's a Volume 3 rather than 1. I can't wait to see Vol. 1 though :).

Thanks!

Heh...new forum member here. I am still unclear, what I currently understand is this:

Volume I (which I have as a print book) is out of print, and will possible be rewritten?
Volume II is not out yet
Volume III is out, and available.

Am I correct? Also, what's with the volume I price on Amazon?

Cheers,

You don't have volume 1, you have edition 1, which was just one book.
Now comes edition 2, consisting of 3 volumes, only the last of which is currently out.
