nano Support?

Just wondering if there is a way to get nano running when connected to the AppleTV. It's installed with the other binaries, but I get this when trying to use it:

Code: Select all
-bash-3.2# nano testFile
Error opening terminal: xterm-256color.
-bash-3.2#

Googled around for a bit, but did not find anything too helpful. Tried changing $TERM to various option, but no difference. Any thoughts?

You have to set $TERM to xterm-256color and copy in a terminfo entry into the appropriate place under /usr/share/terminfo/78, much like on macOS.

:o Thank you! That makes so much sense. This was literally keeping me awake and it was so simple.

And now I take my "I finally have my AppleTV Jailbroken and everything is alright" slumber...
