I downloaded jkextstat from http://newosxbook.com/files/jkextstat.iOS. When running on iOS8, it crashes, reboots the phone, and deletes itself lol. I thought I'm dealing with malware here giving the fact that it deletes itself.

Ok, so - it doesn't delete itself. What it does is trigger a kernel memory corruption left behind by Pangu8, which did a CRAPPY job in their JB. The fact it mysteriously disappears is a side effect of the fact that the buffer cache hasn't synced to flash when the crash occurs.

So it's not something my tool does - it's that the kernel memory is left in such a sorry state, you get a crash for something as simple as kextstat. My advice? Jailbreak with TaiG (it's 8.x, so you can)

Oh, so that's why it gave a BSOD (yes, it was blue just before it rebooted :D ) on 8.1 with Pangu, and works perfeclty on TaiG!
