Debugging with LLDB

Postby vtan » Thu Aug 27, 2015 9:35 am

Hey Guys,

Would like to find out if there is a way to do a forward trace in LLDB?

What I mean is, lets say I bp on a certain function (func A), I would like a easy way to figure out what other functions does function A call. I came across a script on github (https://github.com/gm281/lldb-trace) but it doesn't seem to work. Any other ideas?

I tried doing a simple breakpoint command on objc_msgSend
> register read
> x/s $r1
> expr -o -- $r0
> DONE

but my application has multiple thread and the bp is breaking on objc_msgSend of all threads, too much information for me to process.

Regards,
Vincent
