Need to understand CacheData in MobileGestalt

Postby smartvipere75 » Sun Dec 18, 2016 7:10 am

Hello! Every iOS device has a file /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.MobileGestalt.plist which contains most of device capabilities. The thing is most useful ones are static, they are as binary in a key "CacheData". Tried to disassemble MGCopyDeviceDescription from libMobileGestalt.dylib but no luck. What I need to understand is what each binary values mean. Now there's a great exploit that gives you root access, so would be great if someone would explain me how to get device tree capabilities list (device description) and how CacheData works. Thanks!
