Good resources on ARM exploitation

Postby eltong » Wed Aug 09, 2017 2:21 pm

Hi,

I'd like to know about any good resources for ARM (preferrably ARM64) exploitations, like Capture The Flag contests, reversing challenges, etc.

Thanks

There are no actual good resources on exploitation per se, but there are a couple of amazing ARM architectural references I can suggest:

- Free ones:

- ARM Architecture documents, in particular https://static.docs.arm.com/ddi0553/a/DDI0553A_c_armv8m_arm.pdf%20for%20AARCH64

- ARM Exploitation ROPMAP (from blackout) is old but nice: https://media.blackhat.com/bh-us-11/Le/BH_US_11_Le_ARM_Exploitation_ROPmap_Slides.pdf

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1482229854/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1482229854&linkCode=as2&tag=newosxbookcom-20&linkId=4cbca9d96ccd969c330699b200c66064" - ARM Assembly Language: Fundamentals and Techniques, Second Edition is pretty decent, but won't get you ARM64
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1558608745/ref=as_li_tlie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1558608745&linkCode=as2&tag=newosxbookcom-20&linkId=c37a768c64510633a8e393cdf6b87a2a ARM System Developer's Guide: Designing and Optimizing System Software (The Morgan Kaufmann Series in Computer Architecture and Design) - was the book that got me into ARM architectures (v7 mostly). Old, but great - only now I see AMZN has it wicked expensive.

I'll add more later. There's lots more free ones that actual books. It's a good idea to start a list here.
