The future of ideviceinstaller (?)

Postby septium » Thu Sep 14, 2017 9:14 pm

AAPL have just wiped out App Store functionality from iTunes 12.7, and app syncing to/from device.
Does anyone know if they just deleted it from Mac/PC side, or completely removed the implementation of this part of protocol from iOS11 side too?

Some over-the-wire installation handling has to remain, unless they created a new way for app provisioning as well...

mobile_device_installer still exists. That means that the lockdown (over the wire) protocol should still work. Come to think of it, that makes a good addition to Volume I. I'll check and squeeze it in.

Looking forward to it, Vol I is what many people miss.
