After jailbreaking I am having random reboots after a few hours it seems. Is anyone else having this issue? It has rebooted on me 3 times while watching a videos on different apps.

I've had the same problem since jailbreaking. I have Kodi 17 side loaded. I don't know if this is causing the problem. Do you have Kodi 17 installed as well?

This is what I just wrote on Reddit:
Code: Select all
I jailbroke my ATV 4 yesterday.  So far so good ...

... until I found that the unit would green-screen crash while playing videos. I was watching a 16-minute video using the Autoblog app and part-way through ... kablooie!

Later on I was watching some news program and the same thing happened. I've never had this happen before I jailbroke it.

Once it green-screens I can't re-jailbreak it. I have to let it come up unjailbroken, then do a fresh Reboot and then I'll have a chance at the re-jailbreak working.

For this reason I can't recommend that people [read: n00bz] install this jailbreak until this is sorted out. (A lack of good syslog logs isn't helping, either.)

What I didn't write on Reddit: during one of my re-jailbreak attempts it didn't reset, the screen went into this mutant combination of multi-color vertical lines and static. I had to yank the power cord out.

I never saw the Green Screen Ov Deth™ before I jailbroke it. Also, if I don't play any videos, it doesn't crash. (Since I last played with it, it's been up for over 12 hours now.)

Also, at the time of these crashes I didn't have Kodi installed. I just installed Kodi a few minutes ago. Afraid to play any videos via it ...

KPP kicks in on using floating point. Videos make excessive use of floating point. It is very likely there is a bug in KPP now covering higher memory pages, likely the same one I've been working on that causes LiberTV to succeed only 1/4. I will be releasing an update soon which I hope is rock solid. Bear with me (won't be next week, because I'm away).
