Pangu9: LOCK screen inquiry

Postby septium » Thu Jun 08, 2017 10:09 pm

Pangu9 JB shows an alert "Please LOCK screen and wait a few seconds".

Does anybody know why does it do it? Is it immanent pangu requirement, or just some kind of protection from automated rejailbreaking? Can this event be simulated programmatically?

It's a requirement, because they're swapping io buffers. Check the updated chapter to the book I posted in PDF elsewhere in the forum, which explains it.

Thank you J!

In fact lock button simulation is ultra–easy:
-[XCUIDevice pressLockButton]

I want to make Pangu9 for iOS 9.2+ nearly–untethered. Modify nvwastone binary to set up background fetch/BG location update/BG voip/etc code that can be executed automatically after restart, pass control to FG, trigger payload, simulate locking. Then add proper entitlements and plist keys, sign ipa properly (manually, not using awful impactor) and give it a try.
